SPIRITUAL HEALING

Spiritual healing, recognized in many ancient religions, has been a principle of Spiritualism since its inception. Today, on a national basis, evidence is growing in the medical community of the importance of spiritual healing regarding the cure of the individual in need. Evidence is growing that the whole person needs treatment, not just the illness.

A Spiritualist Healer is one who, either through his or her own inborn powers or through mediumship, is able to impart vital, curative force to pathological conditions.

NSAC Guidelines for performing contact healing must be followed for the protection of the church, healer, and recipient of the healing.

NSAC requires Spiritualist Healers “top\ conduct healing by touching only from the shoulders and above and asking the sitter (healing recipient’s) permission before the touching (healing begins.

All healers are required to be aware of all state and local laws that govern Spiritualist Healing in their locale. These secular laws must be adhered to at all times.

Healers should study the section of healing in the new Spiritualist Manual 2017.

Spiritualist Healing Restated:

  1. Absent or Distant Healing – is generating and transmitting of healing energies to the recipient at a distance and precludes any physical contact. Through the application of Absent or Distant Healing, Spiritual beings (Spirit Intelligences) combine their own healing forces with the magnetism and vitalizing energy of Spirit healers and convey them to the recipient who is at a distance. During a Spiritual Healing Service, others in attendance can assist by attuning to Spirit and silently repeating the name of the person requesting healing as the  chairperson reads the names.
  2. Contact Healing, Laying-on-of-Hands - This occurs in view of the congregation, or as directed with a chairperson in attendance monitoring the healing. The laying -on-of-hands is the performance of Spiritualist Healing whereby the Spiritualist Healer, after attuning with spirit energies (Spirit Intelligences) and the healing recipient, places the hands gently only on or above the shoulders of the recipient as permissible by local laws or the laws of the state. The performance of this type of healing can occur by touch, or by working through the aura of the person receiving the healing (hands not touching the recipients body but their aura). It is important to remember that there can be no suggestion of massaging or manipulation.

Other forms of healing

  1. Direct Spiritual Healing – It is the administration of vita, curative energies that manifest directly through spiritual agencies without the aid of a physical
  2. Magnetic Healing – Today it is termed electromagnetic healing by the scientist that reduce all invisible powers in the universe to some form of electricity. This magnetic or vital force may be transmitted from the healer to the person in need.
  3. Mental or Suggestive Healing -  Once psychology was accepted as a science, psychiatrists found the system of treating many ailments through mental suggestion. Though is a powerful energy.  Science has proved there are minute currents of electricity that convey the impressions received by our sense along our nerves to the brain. If the power of thought or suggestion created the ailment, the power of thought or suggestion can cure it.
  4. Affirmations – Affirmations or suggestive  therapeutics serves to bridge the gap between the physical sensations and material appearance, and place them in the realm of the spiritual awareness. The repetition o affirmations or auto suggestion may at times, of themselves, be efficient curative agencies. The mental thought is the realm of cause, and the physical reaction that of effect.
